Size And Construction:

Sizes: The sizes the Loewe puzzle bag comes in are mini, small, medium and large
Material: Calf, buffalo calf, smooth calf, Nappa, pearlized calf

Price: The price can vary between $1300 and $3000 depending on the size, pattern and whether the product is currently on sale.
Strap Length: Fixed 115 cm for the mini, 80.5 – 115.5 cm for the small, 79.5 – 119.5 cm for the medium, 81.5 – 125.5 cm for the large and extra large.

The Loewe puzzle bag was launched in 2015 by designer Jonathan Anderson who is the creative director at Loewe and founder of fashion label JW Anderson.

Exterior And Interior:

The bag itself looks beautiful but at the same time isn’t too loud and is quite discrete as the logo is only present on the flap and there is no other branding on the exterior. The puzzle piece design on the front is quite nice even though it is simple and the stitching too looks to be done very well. The bag has a cuboid shape with its six faces and can be worn as either a shoulder bag, crossbody, handheld, clutch or backpack and it folds completely until it’s flat. The material used is calfskin and at the back, you have a zipper pocket while on the inside you have a herringbone-patterned cotton canvas lining with two sleeve pockets.

Features:

Each bag comes with a shoulder strap that can be removed and it comes with four different length settings except on the mini version where you get a fixed length strap. Also, you will find that on the medium and large size, the strap is thicker than the ones on the small and mini. All the sizes feature a top handle which is quite comfortable to hold as it is made from rolled leather.

Another interesting thing is that the medium bag still has feet at the bottom while the small one doesn’t and you also get a d-ring with the medium version that allows you to wear it like a backpack. In terms of what footwear you could pair this with, the puzzle bag goes well with the Hermes Oran sandals as the tan color of the bag is very close to that of the sandals and even the stitching looks quite similar.

Loewe Puzzle Small Bag

Volume:

Extra Large – 24000 cu.cm
Large – 15950.5 cu.cm
Medium – 7917 cu.cm
Mini – 1800 cu.cm
Small – 4158 cu.cm

The small puzzle bag has 230% of the volume of the mini, the medium puzzle bag has 440% of the volume of the mini, 190% of the volume of the small and the large bag has 383% of the volume of the small, 200% of the medium and 886% of the mini and finally, the extra large bag has 150% of the volume of the large.

What Can You Fit In It?

In the mini bag, you could fit like your phone, a small handheld purse and a makeup kit say a mirror and some lipstick. Karen, who posted a video of the puzzle bag, was able to fit in a small camera, a full-size wallet, two pairs of sunglasses, a tube of cream and her keys inside the small bag.

However, you might find it difficult to put your phone in the back pocket as in Karen’s case where she couldn’t fit her iPhone 7 in the back pocket of either the small or the medium.
